About us
STV Action is the major site dedicated solely to campaigning for STV. It is designed to advance the campaign for STV by encouraging supporters of STV to share campaigning resources and debate campaigning strategy.
We have created powerful networking tools to enable supporters to communicate with each other and work together on joint projects. We hope this will lead to a new larger and more energetic campaign for STV, in short we want action.
Aims
Purpose: To promote the use of the Single Transferable Vote (STV) for all public elections in the UK.
- To advance the understanding of STV.
- To encourage, and provide tools for, campaigning for STV.
- To encourage discussion on strategy, tactics and methods of campaigning for STV.
- To increase public awareness of the advantages of STV compared with other voting systems
All STV Action asks of its supporters is that they support the Single Transferable Vote (STV). Supporters are free to hold their own individual views on all other issues and we do not wish to divide them from each other or us so we do not ask them to support or oppose any other political campaigns, and STV Action itself does not campaign on any of them.
You can find out about STV Action's policies on the Site Policy page.
